The Aluminum Foil Vacuum Bag is a heavy-duty moisture barrier packaging solution engineered for electronics components and industrial products that require maximum long-term protection during storage and international shipping. By combining the near-zero WVTR of a solid aluminum foil laminate with vacuum-sealed air removal, these bags create a controlled, low-oxygen, low-humidity internal environment capable of protecting moisture-sensitive components for 12 months or more. Manufactured at our Suzhou facility and supplied to electronics manufacturers and industrial distributors across Southeast Asia.
The laminate is constructed to withstand the pressure differential generated during vacuum sealing without deformation or delamination. The solid aluminum foil core — as distinct from vacuum-metallized (plated) film — provides a continuous, pinhole-resistant barrier that maintains near-zero gas transmission under sustained vacuum conditions.

⚠ Note: Surface resistance parameters (Ω/sq) apply to dedicated ESD shielding bags only and are not applicable to this product. This bag provides passive barrier protection via the aluminum foil layer; it is not a tested ESD bag and should not be specified where MIL-PRF-81705 or ANSI/ESD S541 compliance is required.
Place components inside the bag. Add a desiccant sachet (silica gel) and, for maximum protection, an oxygen absorber. The desiccant scavenges residual moisture; the absorber eliminates residual oxygen.
A chamber or external vacuum sealer extracts atmospheric air from the bag, removing the oxygen and moisture responsible for corrosion, oxidation, and component degradation.
The bag is heat-sealed immediately after vacuum application, creating a hermetic closure. The solid foil laminate structure maintains the vacuum without gas transmission through the bag wall.
The sealed bag provides a controlled near-zero oxygen, near-zero humidity internal environment. Properly sealed with desiccant, components are protected for 12–24 months or longer depending on component MSL rating.
Vacuum sealing with desiccant is the standard method for long-term dry storage of surface-mount devices (SMDs) with MSL ratings of 2 and above, preserving solderability and preventing moisture-induced reflow failures.
For high-value components crossing 4–6 week ocean transit times from Southeast Asia, vacuum-sealed aluminum foil bags with desiccant eliminate the risk of in-transit corrosion and oxidation from container humidity cycling.
Spare parts and MRO components stored in vacuum-sealed foil bags maintain condition for 12–24 months — suitable for safety stock and slow-moving inventory in tropical warehouse environments.
Vacuum sealing protects optical components, sensors, and precision instruments from moisture-induced corrosion and contamination during extended storage or international shipment.
Any chamber vacuum sealer or external vacuum sealer with a heat-seal function is compatible. For production-line use, impulse vacuum sealers provide consistent seal quality. Contact us to confirm bag thickness compatibility with your existing equipment.
When vacuum-sealed with appropriate desiccant, most electronic components can be stored for 12–24 months while maintaining moisture protection. Actual storage life depends on the component’s moisture sensitivity level (MSL) and desiccant capacity. For components with MSL 2a or above, vacuum sealing with desiccant is the correct dry-pack specification per IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033.
No. Vacuum heat-seal bags are single-use. Once opened, the bag cannot be reliably resealed to the original vacuum standard. For applications requiring repeated access, zip-lock foil bags are the appropriate alternative — contact us for options.
