Structure & Materials
Both layers are kraft paper. Unlike a sealed plastic air bubble, the embossed dome cannot “pop” — puncturing the surface does not eliminate cushioning performance. Is the embossed inner layer affected if the bag surface is punctured?
No. Unlike plastic bubble film where a puncture eliminates the sealed air cushion in that cell, the embossed kraft paper dome does not rely on a sealed air chamber. Cushioning performance comes from the paper’s geometric deformation under load — a surface puncture or tear does not eliminate this cushioning property across the rest of the bag.
