3M™ Scotch® Filament Tape 8915 is a clear, glass-yarn reinforced tape designed by 3M to hold appliance parts and other goods together during manufacture and shipping. A biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) backing carries continuous glass-yarn filaments for tensile strength, and a pressure-sensitive synthetic rubber adhesive is formulated for clean removal on many common finishes. Mavis supplies genuine 3M 8915 from Suzhou to manufacturers and distributors in Southeast Asia.

Values are typical figures from 3M’s technical data sheet for Scotch® Filament Tape 8915 (V-6, February 2026). 3M states they are representative only and should not be used for specification purposes. Evaluate the tape on your own parts and finishes before production use.
Filament tape 8915 is intended for temporary holding. Apply it to clean, dry surfaces with firm pressure, and run the tape with the filaments along the direction of the load. Removal performance depends on the surface finish, dwell time, temperature and humidity during transport, so test a sample on your actual painted, plastic or coated parts — especially for long storage or hot shipping routes.
For general carton sealing, a standard packing tape is usually more economical. Choose a filament tape when the job needs high tensile strength, resistance to splitting, or clean removal from finished parts. See our industrial tape selection guide or browse other industrial tapes.
Five standard widths are available — 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 mm — all in 55 m rolls. Any other width up to 1,200 mm can be slit to order: tell us the width you need when you request a quotation.
Mavis supplies genuine 3M 8915 together with our other packaging categories through one Suzhou contact. Send the width, quantity and destination for a quotation. 3M’s technical data sheet is available on request.

The adhesive is designed by 3M for clean removal and stain resistance on many finishes, but results depend on the surface, dwell time and transport conditions. Test on your own parts before production use.
Yes. The glass-yarn reinforcement gives high tensile strength for bundling and reinforcing cartons. For light, everyday carton sealing, standard packing tape is usually the more economical choice.
