What Is Green PET Tape?

Green PET tape — also known as green high-temperature masking tape or green polyester tape — is a single-sided adhesive tape made from a PET polyester film base coated with high-temperature silicone adhesive. The green color provides clear visual identification of masked areas during manufacturing processes, and the PET film provides dimensional stability that prevents tape shrinkage, wrinkling, or edge lifting during elevated-temperature processes.

High-temperature Resistance PET film base resists temperatures up to 150–200°C, maintaining adhesive integrity and dimensional stability during reflow soldering, wave soldering, and powder coating processes. The tape does not shrink, wrinkle, or delaminate under sustained heat exposure.

Applications

Green PET tape is used for masking PCB gold fingers, connector areas, and contact pads during wave and reflow soldering; masking during powder coating and electrostatic spray painting; protecting surfaces during anodizing and electroplating; and high-temperature bundling and securing of wire harnesses.
