Green Heat Resistant Tape is a silicone-free (anti-silicone) PET polyester masking tape engineered for one specific failure mode that standard masking tapes cannot prevent: silicone migration onto the protected surface. Where ordinary high-temperature tapes use a silicone adhesive that can transfer trace silicone to the masked area, this tape uses an anti-silicone adhesive system — making it the correct specification for any process where conformal coating adhesion, adhesive bonding, or wire bonding follows the masking step. Even invisible silicone contamination at these stages causes delamination, dewetting, and bond failure in the field.
Most high-temperature masking tapes rely on a silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive — it is heat-stable, releases cleanly, and performs reliably across a wide range of substrates. But silicone adhesives can leave a microscopic layer of low-molecular-weight silicone on the surface they contact. In general masking, this is harmless. In a process where a coating or adhesive must bond to that same surface afterward, it is a defect generator.
Conformal coatings (acrylic, polyurethane, parylene) and structural adhesives will not wet out or bond properly over silicone-contaminated areas — producing fish-eyes, dewetting, pinholes, and delamination that often pass visual inspection and fail in service. Green Heat Resistant Tape uses an anti-silicone adhesive that leaves no silicone transfer film, so the masked surface remains coating-ready and bond-ready with no solvent decontamination step required.
Uses a non-silicone adhesive system that leaves no silicone contamination on the protected surface — critical where conformal coating adhesion, structural bonding, or wire bonding follows the masking step. Eliminates the most common hidden cause of coating dewetting and bond delamination.
Green PET film base maintains integrity at temperatures up to 180°C continuous, with short-term peak resistance to 200°C — covering standard reflow soldering profiles, powder coating cure, and industrial heat treatment without shrinking, wrinkling, or losing edge definition.
Releases cleanly from PCBs, metal, and plastic surfaces after heat processing, leaving no adhesive residue that would require cleaning before subsequent operations — the surface is ready for the next process step immediately.
Bonds firmly on application and holds throughout thermal processing — preventing tape lifting, solder or coating bleed-under, and edge separation. Clean, contamination-free release does not come at the cost of in-process holding power.
The PET film tears cleanly and straight by hand, enabling fast tape cutting without scissors on the production line — consistent film properties give a controlled tear edge every time.
Suitable for use in RoHS- and REACH-compliant electronics manufacturing environments, supporting documentation requirements for regulated production lines.

Masking of connectors, test points, and keep-out areas on PCBs before conformal coating. Silicone contamination from standard masking tape causes coating dewetting and pinholes around the masked boundary; the anti-silicone adhesive keeps the coating-receiving surface clean, so coating wets out and adheres correctly right up to the mask edge.
Protection of pads and surfaces that must accept a structural adhesive or wire bond after masking. Trace silicone from conventional tape prevents reliable bonding at these locations; the silicone-free adhesive preserves bond integrity with no decontamination step.
Masking of gold fingers, contacts, and selective areas through standard reflow and wave soldering profiles up to peak 200°C. The green PET film holds edge definition through the thermal cycle and releases without residue or silicone transfer afterward.
Masking of threaded features, mating surfaces, and contact points on metal components through powder coating cure, where the part is subsequently bonded, sealed, or coated and silicone contamination would compromise that downstream step.

If your process includes conformal coating, adhesive bonding, or wire bonding after the masking step, silicone transferred from a standard silicone adhesive can prevent proper adhesion of the subsequent material — causing dewetting, pinholes, or delamination that often appears only after assembly. Anti-silicone tape leaves no silicone film, eliminating this risk. If there is no bonding or coating step after masking, standard Green PET Tape is the more economical choice.
Up to 180°C continuous, with short-term peak resistance to 200°C — covering standard reflow and wave soldering profiles, powder coating cure, and most industrial heat treatments. It is not rated for lead-free reflow peak temperatures (250–260°C); for that, specify our Green PET Tape High Temp Grade.
They solve two different contamination problems. No Residue Green Tape uses a high-purity silicone adhesive optimized to leave no adhesive residue after removal. Green Heat Resistant Tape uses an anti-silicone adhesive that leaves no silicone contamination film — important specifically when a coating or adhesive must bond to the masked surface afterward. If your concern is sticky residue, choose No Residue; if your concern is silicone interfering with coating or bonding adhesion, choose this tape.
Yes. The tape releases cleanly from PCBs, metal, and plastic surfaces after heat processing with no adhesive residue, in addition to leaving no silicone transfer film — so the masked surface is ready for coating or bonding with no cleaning step.
